Studying architectural history

On an architectural history course you’ll of course be studying buildings and the built environment, but you’ll also be considering historic trends, architectural movements and the social, political, cultural and economic contexts behind these. You’ll learn to use buildings and plans to uncover the past and learn more about how architecture and history can inform one another. After completing your studies, you may want to look for a role in fields such as building conservation, conservation architecture, the heritage sector or preservation architecture.
