Great accommodation. WiFi dodgy at times
Great facilities offered. TONS OF READING
The social hub for the accommodation is amazing, with a cinema and karaoke room. The variety in quality of different flats is not ideal
The campus is beautiful and the people across it are very supportive. Moreover, the cost of living crisis campaign has made it very easy for international students to settle in. No suggestions for University improvement!
The course is taught in class, with excellent labs as well. There are 2 teaching days and other days are allocated for reading. Lecturers are very friendly and prompt.
All activities organised are very engaging making it lively
Great students union! Everyone so friendly
Lots of points of contact
Great location
The campus is very well maintained and the student support and faculty are very supportive and understanding. The drawback is the food options on campus are relatively less.
The course is very well structured, the teaching faculty is very supportive throughout.
Course is amazing!
Lovely tutors and amazing facilities too
The worst aspect is that Its hard to gauge at the moment if the uni is actually a nice place to live. UOY has wonderfully brutalist architecture but it doesn't have distinctive contrasting things, such as lots of greenery or colour. This means in the rain and now going into winter it's a very depressing place to be. The best aspect is definitely the fact that the uni is a campus but it's so close to the city that you feel safe and part of the community in the city. This means nights out are fun and different from living here and days out happen alot.
The course does lots of short lessons rather than a couple of long ones. This means I can do a variety of things within a day that keep my brain engaged. However there is a discrepancy between how each module is taught, for example all of my lectures are on one of my three modules so it feels like I'm only really learning stuff in that. Another module is mostly done through workshops were we work on skills and we don't really learn this aspect of biology. They do give us resources to learn but they aren't very good
The thing I like least is that it really doesn't feel like it's part of the uni. It's on the other side of the main road by itself with no other colleges near it. The college also doesn't have any bars or other attractions or learning hubs to draw people in. This means that the greater population of students don't really no about the existence of my college. The best thing is that it is a quiet and rather nice place with close block which means the community inside is great
UEA is an amazing university, the trees, the proximity to the lake, and the greenness of the campus make it really nice, and light up the mood. The teaching is great, and we know we can ask support if we need to.
Everything is perfect, more effective than what I'm used to!
This accommodation is on the campus, you can't be closer to your lectures! The room are really nice, just a bit expensive for what it is.
I just started my studies at Northumbria University on September this year and by the looks of it, it seems to be going great with a brand new look at everything. This includes being in a huge university, which I was shocked on the first day here. I pretty much got lost on the way to each class. The lecture rooms are cozy and big. While the lectures here are quite friendly and surprisingly approachable and the fact that I am surprised the most is that we are assigned a personal tutor. This is great as if I have an problem of any sort there is a person I can readily talk to. Northumbria has many softwares which I can use for free and work with. The event, freebies are quite the exciting part. The library is spacious enough and quiet, not only the library but all of the buildings we can use free lecture hall to study freely. I love every fact about it till date and is excited for what the university holds for us in the upcoming years.
All the lecture are 1 to 1 which is way better than online as for me. And it has a lot of self study also so that I could know deeply about the subject to depths I desire. More activity based learning would be a help sp that practically it sticks in the brain.
Lots of support and the diversity here is great lots of clubs and societies the downfall the university industrial and prices are too high in cafes or campus shop
Sometimes the lectures can be abit bland or the lecturers go too fast and have this one time voice however the mixture of online and in person helps a lot I like how technology is utilised in this university compared to others sticking to old fashion.
There things to do in town but other than that nothing else Norwich needs to add more things into the city plus the connection is terrible can’t get data connection anywhere and when I do not very strong implant more data towers
The radiators were in the worst position placed under the desk during winter it was freezing because the radiators would only warm the desk not the actual room and the vent at the top was open the whole time blowing cold air into the room which didn’t help other than that a nice room with plenty of space
Amazing course with knowledgable and interesting lecturers. The campus isn’t in a main city, so not much to do near by and the SU usually isn’t that busy. Cardiff is a 20 min drive away though so not completely estranged. Halls are really nice, with big rooms and a community feel! Pints cheap in the SU as well :)
Amazing new facilities, lecturers so passionate about the subject and makes you feel the same way! Great library and on campus places to study. Lots of contact time with the course, hardly any remote learning which is a lot but makes sure you really get the most out of your uni experience!
Cheaper than accomodation in most city universities. Mountain halls is really nice, rooms spacious and lots and lots of students stay around the same areas/ halls so you can never be bored!! The SU pub is a 2 min walk and the gym, so is very handy.
