Studying entrepreneurship

You can study entrepreneurship at uni either as part of a wider business-related degree or on its own. An entrepreneurship course will help you build the skills and knowledge needed to make an impact in the business world by either starting and running your own business or joining an established company. You may look at topics like economics, ethics and politics while covering other areas that are not only specific to business but also entrepreneurship. As well as the theory you’re taught, your course will probably have a practical learning side to it as well, for example through doing a work placement at an established business or start-up company. The transferable skills you’ll pick up, like negotiation, persuasion and presentation, will help set you up for a career in business.
