By studying film and television you’ll explore the history and theory of film and TV while gaining practical experience in production and learning how to critically analyse your subject. Your course might cover areas like scriptwriting, filming on location, editing, digital effects, working with actors, directing and producing, as you develop your skills and knowledge of work behind the camera. Most film and television degree programmes also have a strong practical element, through things like workshops, filming shoots, broadcasts and placements, and you may get access to specialist facilities and equipment to help you develop the skills needed for success in the film and TV industry. Once graduated, possible jobs could include producer, director, location manager, editor, and more.
