Studying sports therapy

While studying sports therapy, you’ll learn to recognise and prevent injuries in athletes and sportspeople, as well as learn how to treat and rehabilitate them during recovery. During your course, you’ll use industry-standard equipment and specialist facilities, learning in a hands-on way as well as through theory. You’ll spend a lot of time becoming familiar with the human body, how it all works together and how best to heal it when it’s been damaged through sport. With an increasing drive towards a healthy society, there are numerous sports therapy jobs in both the private and public sectors that you can work towards. For instance, you could become a sports therapist, exercise therapist, physiotherapist, sports massage therapist or personal trainer.
