On an agricultural engineering course, you’ll be learning all about the technology and machinery used in agriculture, horticulture and forestry. You’ll learn how to design, service and repair these machines. As a part of this degree, you’ll also learn to consider how to design efficient machines to help solve societal issues such as feeding a growing population. Your degree may offer you a work placement, allowing you to get hands-on experience. If you’re interested in postgraduate study, you could study a related engineering master’s degree. Popular careers for agricultural engineering graduates are usually in the agricultural industry, but you could pursue roles from marketing and sales to production to research and development.
