Studying sustainability

Sustainability means keeping something going and making sure it doesn’t decrease, die out or stop happening. It’s generally applied to three areas – the environment, economy and society – and it’s never been as important as it is today. Sustainability degrees can cover subjects like environmental management, fashion, finance, engineering, energy, geography, biological science, food production, and more. You’ll learn about how we can continue to make things and run worldwide businesses while preserving and containing the environment at the same time. During a sustainability course, you’ll learn transferable skills, as well as specific skills in your field, that can be applied to the real world to improve sustainability. Job roles that graduates can go into include sustainability management and coordination, data analysis, environmental assessment, habitat surveying and financial analysis.
