Studying clinical psychology

Clinical psychology is the branch of psychology that’s concerned with assessing and treating mental illness and psychological issues. Studying clinical psychology at uni will therefore give you an insight into how people think, feel, behave and communicate through the study of physical and mental health problems, like addiction, anxiety and depression. You’ll learn about different psychological theories and schools of thought in classroom environments and specialist facilities, and may also have the chance to get practical experience through clinical placements in health environments like hospitals and clinics. Mental health issues are in the public eye more than ever, meaning clinical psychology has never been so important. As such, skilled graduates are wanted and can find work in various therapy, psychology and health-related job roles.
