Studying cognitive psychology

This is a branch of psychology focused on the mental processes that affect human behaviour. A degree in cognitive psychology will teach you the theories and research methods used by cognitive psychologists. You’ll learn how neuroscience can explain human behaviours and you may also learn to use medical technology such as EEG machines. Your teaching will likely be a combination of theoretical and practical learning, and many courses are accredited by the British Psychological Society. Many graduates go on to work in the field of psychology, but you may also go into marketing, sales, media or any number of other fields. If you want to continue your studies, there are lots of postgraduate opportunities for cognitive psychology graduates.
