Social policy degrees explore different problems in society and how they arise, as well as how governments react and the knock-on effect this has on citizens. You’ll learn how to critically analyse public policy, its impact and its fairness and critically analyse the response from the public and media. This course draws on sociology, law, politics, philosophy and economics, making it a well-rounded degree to study. You may want to progress to postgraduate study in one of these areas. Common career paths include civil service, journalist, policy adviser or HR officer.
