The best aspect of my uni experience was the overall feel and energy of the campus and teachers. Every professor I’ve had since first year truly loved their subject and are knowledgeable in their fields. I feel as though I have learnt a lot from them in general as well as feeling safe that I can go to them for any sort of help or inspiration
The course is taught very well and is well rounded, what I’ve learnt has been through various different perspectives and have given me such a broad Idea on what the international community is truly about
The value for money to amenities is well spent, I have enjoyed living in east slope and truly felt at home. The comfort of the space and its student lounge has been a highlight of my first year
Best: amazing student support, quality of education and friendly staff Could improve: renew university's accommodation (mattress, carpets, chairs are old and dirty). More job opportunities in Campus
Course could improve class times so students have the opportunity to have a part time job. Overall amazing course with good links between modules
Furniture is really old and dirty. Mattress is terrible and even when I request several times to change, they haven't looked into it. Carpet is also really old and dirty. Room has a good size and storage.
Its a great place to live and study. Supporting faculties and the scenic beauty of the place is the first thing come to my mind...
I think this course worth studying but still unsure about the skills I should develop for a better employability
The UEA is a great university! The campus is in a brilliant and safe location in Norfolk, Norwich. They always have events going on and offer amazing student support. I feel like I am really listed to at university. When feedback is given, the university takes it on and changed for the better. This continuum is great to see as a student; it shows how committed the university is to listening to their students and making change to fit their students needs. The campus is beautiful and isn’t very far from the city centre. It also has good travel routes that are cheap! I am glad I chose the UEA, I wouldn’t have wanted to spend my 3 years anywhere else. I will be sad to leave next summer. If I ever decide to do further studies, I will definitely be going back to the UEA!
The BSc Adult Nursing course is just amazing! The lecturers are fabulous and are so knowledgeable. I feel safe when talking to them if I’m unsure on anything or if I have concerns. They are so supportive! The course content itself is really interesting and I feel myself becoming more prepared and confident in being a registered nurse. The course is taught extremely well. As part of the course, you have to undertake placements. Placements are a great insight into what you want or don’t want to do. I have recently found my love for nursing in a particular speciality and I am so excited to venture into this career path. The university is great with helping students reach their career aspirations!
social life is lacking, only thing to do is drink
cant undertsand lecturers sometimes
location was poor
Provides everything you need, issues are sorted out quickly and incredible support from staff
The course is engaging and the lecturers make the boring parts of the course bearable
Amazing wildlife and natural spaces. Changing building work makes navigation difficult as different paths closed but this can’t be helped. Some classrooms and chairs ect feel very dated
Can’t fault the tutors and the support really they have been incredible and supportive. Easy to contact while on placement
Norwich is amazing with so many opportunities for nature escapes, shopping and employment with great links
There is great support for international students from the student union, student achievement team, help zone, and career studio. The international cafe also organizes events at different universities so that everyone can get to know each other and help everyone out if someone is struggling. Lecturers are also so supportive and helpful. The career studio was helpful in providing me with ways to improve my CV. I wish there were a lot of jobs available for students on campus.
The course is taught in-class which helps to interact with everyone in person. The lecturers are extremely helpful in clearing doubts and providing guidance. There is always activities and practice questions. Sometimes they tend to teach fast but if we have doubts we can always meet or email our lecturers and clear any questions we have. We are also provided with a personal tutor which is great.
The halls are close to my campus which is within walking distance. All my flat mates are international students and getting to know them and where they are from has been amazing. I even have a flat mate studying my same course and we have become great friends. The kitchen has a toaster, oven, microwave, and lots of fridges which is great. However, the heater doesn't always work. The laundry is a bit expensive. Sometimes the kitchen is way too crowded when flat mates from other sections of the building get together and hang out in the kitchen for hours making it hard to cook.
This university is perfect for people that want a sense of independence and community, the student life is amazing, the facilities outstanding. The staff, and other students very welcoming, making this feel like a home
Best aspects include the content that we study on the course, really enjoying the history aspect of Film, There aren’t really any bad parts but would like it if they talked a bit more about career opportunities
Love the location, easy to walk and find every, very close to medical facilities and laundrette. Roommates are so friendly Don’t have any complaints with the hall
It was so bad I had to drop out from 3rd year. Be very careful if you chose to study there. This university have extremely bad reputation for a reason.
All bad
