The University of Aberdeen is one of the oldest in the UK, dating all the way back to 1495 when it was founded on the basis of being dedicated to providing an education for all. Its two campuses are linked by bus and both have their own facilities, including the library and three museums. Both sites are a half-an-hour walk from the city centre, which has plenty to offer students, including music and comedy venues, theatres, restaurants and bars. There’s also access to golf courses and ski centres, as well as the vast Cairngorms National Park, allowing students to get out of the city and into the natural world.
