Most of the university’s undergraduate degree programmes take three- or four-years full time (depending on whether a student adds a study abroad or industry placement year or does a foundation year before starting). Students can choose from:
Most of the undergraduate degrees are built around a modular system designed so that students can put together their own course using a series of study blocks or modules.
Usually, six of these are taken per year – normally three from the start of term to Christmas, and three more between January and the summer (although some modules might weigh double the usual count and run for the full year).
Some modules are compulsory, but many courses have optional elements, allowing students to customise their studies according to interest. This results in students getting a degree that best suits them.

First-year students are guaranteed a room in university owned or partnered accommodation if they apply by 1st October. Broadband, utility bills and contents insurance are included in the rent, and accommodation also offers laundry facilities, indoor and outdoor amenity spaces, bike storage, 24/7 security and welfare support, and a communal cleaner.
There are three locations: Westfield Court, The Courtyard, and Taylor Court, offering self-catered single and ensuite rooms, as well as one-bedroom apartments. Prices range from £148.40 to £238.56 per week.

The University of Hull has invested £300 million in transforming its red-brick campus into a modern, cutting-edge learning and research environment.

Students at the University of Hull are able to access an excellent range of both academic and personal support during their time studying.
Students can access Health and Wellbeing services for a variety of reasons relating to life and academic studies. This might include feelings of stress and anxiety, bereavement, depression and other mental health and general wellbeing issues. There's no 'right' or 'wrong' reason to access the service. The team care about the students and are there to provide a listening ear to support and advise students in a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. For students with more complex difficulties, the team can help plan and coordinate support outside of the university where needed.
A financial support team are able to help students with any money stresses, including lending out short-term loans.
For disabled students, the team provide advice and guidance and take a holistic approach and the services offered are tailored to individual needs.
Over at the Hull University Students’ Union, a free advice centre provides confidential advice and information to students.

Hull University Union is a charity run by a team of elected volunteers, for students by students.
The union aims to help students during their time at the university — organising events and activities, supporting student needs and making sure students have a great time. Students automatically become a member when they enrol with the University of Hull.

You'll be shocked by the number of clubs and societies on offer at University of Hull. There's something for everyone! As well as being able to pick different clubs and societies, most courses let you choose modules at different points through your degree.
As well as personalising your course through optional modules, you may have the chance to do a work placement during your studies. Developing your professional skills through work placements is a great way to add to your CV and boost your employability.
If you want a job you love (and who doesn't?), getting a job in a field you're passionate about is a great place to start. By studying a subject you really enjoy, you'll be qualified for a range of jobs relating to that subject, which you'll hopefully love.
For those who aren't ready to give up on education after an undergraduate degree, you'll have the opportunity to progress to postgraduate study such as a master's or even a PhD.
