I started Leeds Trinity University in 2020 as a Foundation Level student. This was during the Covid pandemic and although most of the teaching was online, I don’t feel like I lost out on any of my education and the tutors were absolutely fantastic in how they presented the work. Throughout my time at Leeds Trinity University, I have had two children and both times the support I received, especially from my person tutor was amazing. I was so upset at the thought of having to defer my course but due to their brilliant support, I have been able to continue with ease. The relationship I have grown with the tutors has been immensely easy to gain! They really do go above and beyond to help and no question is silly!
The course is now fully taught in the classroom which means we have been able to gain relationships with our peers and tutors which makes learning fun again! The hours are not too stressful although I feel there could maybe be more hours just because of how compacted the course is but it is a really interesting course and I am super grateful to have been given the opportunity to study it.
It is in a very quiet area and I feel it is a little hard to find societies and people you fit with completely but overall I am happy with my experience
Course is taught well but we are first people to study the course here so feel abit like guinea pigs as we are being trialed with new modules/assignments etc..
It is a bit of an expensive area horsforth, however students feel safe and it is a friendly environment
The university is modern with idyllic grounds all over, and it is located in one of the nicest areas in Leeds. The library’s facilities are modern and the collection of books and academic journals for research are top notch. There’s also great support from the Learning Hub for those who are both experienced and inexperienced in writing a research. One of the best parts of the university is the chapel — very welcoming and a great refuge. There are also places of worship for other denominations.
The university’s tutors and lecturers make a huge effort in learning all the students names from the very beginning. There is genuine concern for our well-being and support in our academic journey. In their PGCE program, students are placed in the best possible schools to train at. The 2 school placements I have are so conveniently located to my residence and they also have very positive feedback about Leeds Trinity University.
The best experience I have is that the university is well arranged and organised But the worst part of it is that is too far away and the bus service from Leeds city centre to there is not very flexible.
To my experience this is what I can rate , everything is upto standard but need a little bit to upgrade.
Very personalized university experience, great student support and student union.
Great tutors, and lecturers.
Like the location the most as its on campus. Disliked the people at halls.
After thinking I was not good enough to University I quickly realised I was wrong. LTU has become my second home not only do I receive great help and advice with my work I have found the services provided are impeccable at LTU. When I arrived to university I didn’t realise I had dyslexia they university picked up on this and got me help immediately making my student experience brilliant. I feel I have such a sense of belonging a LTU and I’m glad I chose to do my study here.
I don’t have any worst aspects of my course. The best bits are that it is very accommodating to my life and makes family and study life balanced. I studied during lock down on line and was very impressed with my academic achievements online. The tutors went above and beyond to make sure I still received help and advice on anything I was unsure with.
The staff are amazing. So kind and caring. They really care for each individual. The facilities and location are very limited so the staff really make up for it
I love my course and tutors
They’re very outdated but does the job
I love the sense of community at Leeds Trinity. I have also found that there is a lot of support available. I don't feel that the environment is pressured or competitive which is useful to me because I study best and am most creative when not feeling high pressure. Also the support via the learning hub and the mental health services at uni have made a big difference to my education and grades. The availability of online tools and access to lecture recordings has made a difference to my education too. When my children have been ill, I have been able to keep up with lectures. The uni could be improved by offering more bursaries and scholarships for disadvantaged students and parents.
On my specific course we have some amazingly engaged lecturers.
I don't have any negative feedback at the moment
its good
not enough fridge space
As it is a closed campus it is easy to navigate and all the staff were willing to help me when I first started studying here. Parking is accessible and also affordable. Lecturers and tutors are on hand to help with any concerns and the majority of staff answers emails quickly within working hours and some staff have even extended to answering any concerns outside of office hours near to assessment deadlines which is very kind and helpful. The facilities, such as the library, are spacious and have everything you need, I often use the study rooms to do studying alongside my course mates which is amazing and they are quiet to be able to focus. In addition to this, when I needed financial advice the university were quick to arrange a meeting to make me feel more at ease, and when I needed help with my mental health I reached out and they were great. I was seen and put into a campus based therapy quickly and they really supported me when I needed it most and ensured me that I could reach out the same way again in the future if I needed to. Finally the learning hub resources on tips for essay writing etc is an additional touch that I know some universities don't have, but it really helped me when I was writing in a different writing style to normal and wasn't 100%, and you can arrange meetings to look through previous feedback and they will help with ways to improve on this in the future.
Our course is taught primarily on campus, however lectures are mostly recorded now which is great for if you have to miss a day. course hours are great and also gives time in the day to independent study. If I have concerns I know I can talk to lecturers and tutors and they make it clear from the start that they are happy to assist with any enquiries or concerns you have throughout the course. Worst aspect is probably the research methods module, but I think that's only because I don't pick up on the terms as quickly as some, but I know that I am able to talk to my lecturers after class to be able to discuss my issues with assessments and they are always happy to help
