Hartpury University is a specialist institution based in Gloucestershire, offering degree programmes in agriculture, animal, equine, sport and veterinary nursing. Hartpury is widely known for its world-leading facilities and curriculum quality, delivered by expert teaching staff.

GET PROSPECTUSEntry requirements vary from course to course, but typically the university requires a UCAS Tariff score of 96-128. The university accepts a range of qualifications, including A-Levels, vocational awards (BTECS), Access to Higher Education Diplomas and Scottish Highers. Most subjects require qualifications in relevant subjects, most notably biological sciences.
Applicants are typically required to also have a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 9 - 4 (A* - C), including math’s, English language and science.
For top-up degrees, a pass at Foundation Degree or HND in a related subject is required. The university accepts students with overseas qualifications. Hartpury’s international team can be contacted for more information.

These halls are located in a beautiful Grade II listed manor house. They are self-catered with 21 en-suite bedrooms, and a shared common room with a microwave, fridge and kettle.

Hartpury University has a dedicated network of support staff to help keep students happy and healthy. Students rate this support so highly they ranked the university in the Top 10 for Student Support in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2020.
All students are assigned their own personal academic tutor when they arrive, to help them reach their academic goals. Lecturers have an open-door policy, while the Achievement and Success Centre team can also help with one-to-one support, group workshops and online courses covering everything from time management to academic writing.
The student wellbeing team can provide information and advice on all aspects of university life.
WellFest in Freshers’ Week is a one-day event packed full of workshops and performances on health and wellbeing, where students can find out about the support available.

Hartpury is also renowned for its sporting excellence and many students choose to study at Hartpury in order to pursue a professional career in sport. The university has 10 dedicated sporting academies: equine, men’s and women’s rugby, men’s and women’s football, athletics, rowing, netball, golf, and modern pentathlon.
Students have access to a suite of world-class training and performance facilities, plus a team of coaches, physiotherapists, nutritionists and support staff.
The Students’ Union represents the student voice at Hartpury in all aspects of student life. For students keen on sports, the university has lots to get involved with, from equestrian and polo to hockey and vaulting, and the SU also organises a packed schedule of events and activities throughout the year.

BOOK OPEN DAYStudents at Hartpury follow in the footsteps of thousands of graduates who are changing the future of specialist industries. 97% of graduates are in employment, further study or other purposeful activity within 15 months of graduating (Graduate Outcomes, 2022).
Hartpury alumni work with top employers such as the British Army, Formula 1, the NHS, and the British Horseracing Authority. Hartpury graduates have also gone on to become Olympic medallists and play sport for international teams across the globe.
Hartpury’s Innovation, Careers, and Employability team maintains 3,000 industry relationships and helps students find opportunities, including working with campus businesses, attending workshops and events with guest speakers, and volunteering.
Students also have opportunities to study overseas in more than 30 countries, travelling as far as Brazil, New Zealand, and Northern Uganda. Students can also opt for a full year in industry to develop their employability skills.

Low Income Support Bursary
£1,500 per year for the duration of the course is available for students coming from a household income of less than £21,000 per annum.
Care-Leavers and Independent Students Bursary
£1,500 per year to support study for the duration of the programme and is available to full-time students who have been in the care of a local authority for a period of 13 weeks or more or are able to provide evidence of estrangement/financial independence under the age of 25.
Low Income Bursary
£1,000 per year for the duration of the course is available for students with a household income of less than £21,000 per year living in specific local areas, or from local schools.
Joe Henson MBE Bursary
Two bursaries of £1,000 per year for up to three years are available for students studying agriculture or related subjects living in Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Fees for UK students enrolled on full-time undergraduate degrees are £9,250 per year.
Fees for UK students enrolled on a full-time Diploma in Professional Studies Veterinary Nursing (DPS) are set at £6,165 per year.
Fees for international students (including EU) enrolled on full-time undergraduate degrees are £13,000 per year.

You'll be shocked by the number of clubs and societies on offer at Hartpury University. There's something for everyone! As well as being able to pick different clubs and societies, most courses let you choose modules at different points through your degree.
As well as personalising your course through optional modules, you may have the chance to do a work placement during your studies. Developing your professional skills through work placements is a great way to add to your CV and boost your employability.
If you want a job you love (and who doesn't?), getting a job in a field you're passionate about is a great place to start. By studying a subject you really enjoy, you'll be qualified for a range of jobs relating to that subject, which you'll hopefully love.
For those who aren't ready to give up on education after an undergraduate degree, you'll have the opportunity to progress to postgraduate study such as a master's or even a PhD.
