While many come to the university straight from sixth form or college, with A-level qualifications or equivalent diplomas, there are many potential entry routes available both to school leavers and to mature students looking for their first undergraduate degree.

ASK A QUESTIONAll University accommodation at Roehampton is located on campus, which ensures that all the amenities and resources students need for a successful start to university life are within convenient walking distance. Rooms range from en-suite, semi-en suite (with a private shower) or with shared bathroom facilities, to suit all budgets and preferences. Costs range from £133 to £208.25 per week depending on location and type of room.
The cost of the rooms also includes utility bills, contents insurance and that all-important internet access. There is also 24/7 security, dedicated wardens and flat representatives who are on hand to help with anything should they be needed. Living in halls is a great way for new students to meet people from outside their course of study and make friends which can last far longer than the duration of their university experience.
In September 2017, the University of Roehampton opened an award-winning new library. Open 24 hours a day during peak study times, the library contains hundreds of thousands of books, journals and printed publications, high-speed Wi-Fi, a range of online resources, over 1,200 seats, private study rooms, dedicated spaces for postgraduate and research students, and a whole floor just for silent studying.
Academic facilities include a theatre, a practice law court, technologically advanced laboratories, state-of-the-art sports facilities and a brand-new media hub.
In terms of non-academic facilities, across the four colleges there are numerous cafés and canteens, including The Hive, a student-run eco-café selling hot and cold snacks. The union bar hosts daily events during the week and serves food and drink.

Services at the university include both academic and personal support which is available as and when it’s needed. This includes health and wellbeing services, support with study skills, financial guidance, an on-site medical centre and a chaplaincy service.
Students also have access to Nest – the university’s dedicated student support team. Based on-campus and online, Nest is there to help students with any questions related to student life and support at Roehampton. From 24/7 academic support to booking an appointment with the wellbeing team, the team is there to help all students make the most of their time at Roehampton.
The Wellbeing Team provide a free and confidential counselling and advice drop-in service during weekday afternoons. Students will also be allocated an Academic Guidance Tutor who can be approached with any concerns. The students’ union has a free academic advice centre, which offers impartial advice to students on any academic issues from complaints to exam appeals.

There are almost 60 student-run societies and many sports teams at the University of Roehampton London.

BOOK OPEN DAYThe university has its own careers centre called The Hub. Here, students can get help from advisers in a wide range of areas, including preparing CVs and cover letters, interview skills, and finding work. The Hub also runs regular events throughout the year, including a careers fair and practical workshops.
All students are also enrolled on CareerLink, an online careers resource which provides access to volunteering and job directories, online skills courses and mock job interviews.
URJobs, the campus recruitment agency, helps students to find work while studying for their degree and after graduation. Paid internship opportunities are available both locally and across London, via the Roehampton Internship Scheme.

BA Primary Education Male Student Scholarship
£1,000 is awarded each year to male students who are studying primary education in an initiative to encourage more men to enter teaching careers.
Scholarship for Sporting Excellence
£500 - £1,500 is given to students with outstanding sporting talents, which in turn helps to raise the profile of the university.
eSports Scholarship
The first of its kind in the UK, the eSports scholarship gives up to 20 eligible students £1,500 a year. Just like other sports scholarships at the university, students who receive this scholarship will be required to display their commitment to eSports alongside successful academic progression.
Roehampton Women in Esports Scholarship
Up to four scholarships are available to first year students starting in September, each worth up to £1,500 a year. The programme aims to improve diversity and inclusivity in the esports industry and to inspire the next generation of female esports professionals.
Academic Excellence Scholarship (UK students only)
Up to £3,000 is awarded to undergraduate, first-degree students who perform strongly in A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and a number of equivalent qualifications.
International Excellence Scholarship

UK students can apply for a tuition fee loan to cover the cost of the annual fees. This is only repayable when students reach a minimum salary threshold. Students can find more details on the university or the government’s student finance website.
Students who choose to pay their fees themselves will be able to make arrangements with the university to pay in instalments through the year if they would prefer to spread the cost, rather than paying the full amount up front. You'll be shocked by the number of clubs and societies on offer at University of Roehampton. There's something for everyone! As well as being able to pick different clubs and societies, most courses let you choose modules at different points through your degree.
As well as personalising your course through optional modules, you may have the chance to do a work placement during your studies. Developing your professional skills through work placements is a great way to add to your CV and boost your employability.
If you want a job you love (and who doesn't?), getting a job in a field you're passionate about is a great place to start. By studying a subject you really enjoy, you'll be qualified for a range of jobs relating to that subject, which you'll hopefully love.
For those who aren't ready to give up on education after an undergraduate degree, you'll have the opportunity to progress to postgraduate study such as a master's or even a PhD.
