Falmouth University recognises the challenges faced by students when moving away from home and undertaking studies while living independently. The university is dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of support services to ensure that all students receive the help needed to thrive in their studies and enjoy their student experience.
Student services provide free and confidential counsellors who can act as an anonymous ear and help students through any problems or direct them to further support. Services include support for those with additional learning needs or disabilities, health services, financial advisory and a multi-faith chaplaincy.
Students can use these services as often as they need, and are encouraged to contact the support teams via email or telephone if that is preferred. Where the university is not able to directly help students with an issue, they will signpost to the relevant external support services to ensure that students always feel like they’re closer to a resolution.

The Games Academy
Widely regarded as one of the best places to learn to design, build and develop games in the world, Falmouth’s Games Academy was recently rated number one in the UK by the Princeton Review.
Students learn from tutors with experience at companies like EA Games and Square-Enix, in one of the largest dedicated game development spaces in the UK, and work on industry-level creative and technical skills.
Fine Art
Falmouth’s BA(Hons) Fine Art course enjoys international acclaim and has developed from a strong heritage of art and sculpture, which has grown in Cornwall throughout the past hundred years.
