Great Keep on moving and always listen to students voice
Great
AUP is great for support of all communities - whether it be disabled, lgbtq+, neurodivergent, etc. Not to mention they actively encourage students to learn about areas beyond their chosen subject with workshops and availability to book other equipment and spaces.
The course gives ample time with the tutors to guide through the course, while also allowing a lot of freedom to get work and projects done.
I'm a Ukrainian student and as for me it's just miracle to get place of Fashion design course. It's absolutely paradise, for a couple years ago I even couldn't dream about this opportunity. I hope, the Fortuna will continue to stay on my side. Grandiose lectures and issues for become a professional master. I greatly appreciate tge stuff for all of support and care. Best wishes to everyone.
My Fashion course is fabulous. Very helpful with open hearts the tutor and staff. Learning process is very structured. And quit enouth practice, what sp important to grow up like professional.
The university, is very inclusive and makes it easy to feel safe whilst being there. They try their best to get students to involve themselves, and so far all the staff seem lovely
Most of my course is hands, we do lots of painting and drawing which I love. I struggle with the ambiguity surrounding assessment criteria
I've found that my university has an incredibly accepting community, offering a wide range of student support outside of the classroom. In addition, they have an amazing collection of facilities which students from any course can be inducted into. If I were to improve the university, I would start with the student union, as it has limited events and those that they do hold seem very specialist.
I love the facilities on offer, however sometimes my lecturers forget that we are new to university and may need further explaining on areas such as keeping a digital workbook, for example.
It almost feels as though you're staying in a mini hotel, with small double beds and on-suites! The only issue is sometimes maintenance can take a while to come and fix any issues in the flat.
A dedicated arts facility and community a must for creatives. The opportunity to dip in and learn from disciplines other than your own through wednesday workshops. Great opportunities to work on live briefs, great for your cv’s.
The tutors and technicians are the best, you feel supported and free to be creative, play and make mistakes through your learning. Regular 1:1 meets and group feedback with lecturers. You feel part of a community in your discipline but part of a bigger community within the art university .
So far I have loved being at university and meeting everyone in my course and getting used to the layout of the building and the facilities, I think that everything is layed out perfectly for new students to get used to and there is a lot of support. On the other hand I have found student living hard but slowly adjusting to it but apart from that I have found everything else amazing.
I think that the course is really engaging and the way it is taught makes it easy to understand and along with having access to lectures online makes it easy to catch up and also look back at what has been taught in the day. The only issue I have is the amount of free time I have as I’m only in 2 days a week and the other days are for independent learning but that’s a personal problem as I like having a busy schedule
I love how diverse the area is and also how there is a lot to do within the town and in walking distance. The only thing that’s not so great is that there are a lot of hills to walk up and it can get very physical draining but I’m just out of shape :)
I love the independence and freedom, I don’t like how if u don’t get along with flatmates then it can be difficult to get yourself out there and also if you have messy flatmates then there can be some arguments. But everyone takes time to get along with each other
Plymouth is so lively, and the university is so lovely and accepting of everyone. They also offer tons of support.
nothing is wrong, apart from the workload
lift hasn't been working for weeks, we have two washers and dryers for two buildings and the washers have been leaking, the ceilings are abit thin, you can hear allot of footsteps
Great people, always so friendly and ready to help.
Love the fine art course, very varied and always open to adding workshops
More interactive student led
Course is 1 day a week.
