Chester uni is in a great ideal location, it's really convenient having every facility (on campus and off campus) all in walking distance. I like that everything is small and it makes getting around and knowing where things are a lot easier. It also helps if you've moved away with everything being so accessible. Lecturers are always around to help too, and to show support. Student life is great, definitely makes it better after you find your people because it makes the experience much more enjoyable. I think the uni could do with a broader range of societies outside of sports. There is a society in literally every sport, but apart from that there aren't really many to choose from and that was a part of uni I looked forward to before coming but I haven't wanted to get involved in.

Everything is great! The uni has a really friendly and welcoming vibe. I knew 30 minutes into the open day that I attended for the uni that it was the right place for me. The only thing is that the university isn't super close to any train stations - its a 20 minute walk from the nearest station which is a little annoying when your commuting or even when you live in Chester but are visiting home with a suitcase etc. Other than that I really like it there. Chester is a beautiful city. It is smaller than other nearby cities e.g., Liverpool but I like that its a smaller place - it doesn't feel so overwhelming.

The size of the Warrington campus makes the experience great as it feels like a community, everyone is there to help you. You are never alone.

The support from the international community and a great environment for learning. Also good academic support for students. It is not a great campus as I do not get to have the feeling I am in an higher institution

The lecturers, course content, and support are fantastic at UoC. Any request or need for help is always met. The only aspect of the uni that I would improve is quiet, individual study space availability.

It's a good uni as we receive a lot of support due to it being a smaller University. The campus is not that big so accessibility to necessities is easy. Improvement would be the interior as it is not modern and can cause difficulty when placing laptops on side desk and not that appealing to the eye.

Support for students in the English department is great both academically and pastorally. Buildings have a nice old feel to them without seeming dated.

The university is perfect for anyone who wants to find a home-away-from-home. The campus is small but gives such a cosy feel with loads of greenery, and it’s within a 10 minute walk to the city centre which has a selection of bars, restaurants, and a club. Chester may originally come across as a not-so-student focused city due to its historical nature, however it never fails to surprise me! I can’t comment on student support services/student union as I have not had to use them, however, if the support my lecturers provide me with are anything to go by, I have no doubt that they are also great.

I’ve been here only for a month but so far I love it here. Everyone are so friendly and helpful. So now UoC is my home away from home.
