The support available to students is outstanding, even if you are ever in doubt the lecturers will always be there for you but all you have to do is ASK FOR HELP and you will receive!
the best aspects of my course is that lab sessions are in person with a lot of additional support to students such as proctors being available within the sessions The worst thing about the course is the programming lectures we are required to do are all provided online which sometimes may be harder for students to follow and learn whereas if they was in person a lot more content could be easier understood
the best thing about living in uni halls are the people you meet, everyone in my flat get along like one big happy family ! The worst thing about living in halls is the timings of guests and how many guests you can have at a time
Generally good experience, mental health improved significantly while here during first year. Reslife are amazing and welcoming. Student accommodation is of very high quality. City location allows easy travel by train. However academic and financial support is limited
Overall course has nice content, especially design modules. Coursework is fun to work on and a lot less stressful than high school. Sometimes marking is unfair. Some lectures are boring. All my modules are cramped into two days a week so we end up being very tired out during these two days.
City has high crime rate. While cheaper than most of UK, I am barely coping with the living costs. Job opportunities in Coventry are low, especially graduates tend to find jobs in other cities and have to move. Not very diverse. Wish there was more public transport other than the bus, but the bus is good.
Overall I love the accommodation, the room is pretty and the building is very well architecturally constructed. Very safe, and security is strong. This accommodation in particular makes it easy to socialize. Washing machines tend to break often though, and shower water could have higher pressure and be warmer
One bad experience is that timetable were sorted while my 1st semester happened, when it should have happened before the start of the semester. On top of the timetable issue, they put in a class (which would run from 5pm to 6pm), which I was not supposed to attend, which had the word 'COURSE'. I was only given that instruction after 5pm and before 6pm.
Too much work to do.
I love the overall atmosphere.

the mechanical engineering course is highly interesting with a course team that go out of their way to support and teach students. the facilities available are impeccable too.
lectures are structured well and the quality of them is generally high. support is largely available when required
rooms and kitchens are finished to a high standard. having to sign people in an out every time is a bit irritating
Great timetable and lectures. A thing to improve could be cheaper food for students.
I enjoy lectures the most and we get taught very interesting things. However, I wish there was more mention of work placements.
+Uni in the city centre. -Cost of living high.
I love how this accommodation provided me everything; bed and kitchen equipment. However, it was expensive.
The facilities and university as a whole is pretty good. I’ve enjoyed my time here so far.
Contact with lecturers is good, I see them every day. The course facilities have everything you need but aren’t necessarily the best facilities I’ve ever seen at a uni. The lecturers are good but some of them don’t seem all that passionate about the course and they occasionally contradict each other
Great value for money, some of the best uni rooms I’ve ever seen. Decent facilities. The only real issue is the security is so good it makes it actually quite an inconvenience to bring guests back. For example having to have a 3 day prior notice for overnight guests and having annoying guest parking
Coventry Uni is welcoming, modern, friendly. Main of lecturers help us to achieve our best potential.
Exam board dates don’t always fit with the delivery of modules. This making writing essays more challenging as it already is. Lecturers don’t always reply to my enquiries which can be frustrating. I appreciate that they are busy but without their advice/support I sometimes can feel let down. Overall lecturers are friendly and approachable.
Coventry University has a great rage of opportunities for both after you graduate and during your studies. It also has a really good student life, presenting you with opportunities to study in comfortable and educational inspiring places by your self or in a study group. As far as social student life and experience goes, Coventry uni has a variety of societies and sports one can join and where socials and parties are hosted so the opportunity to make friends and get out of university with a satisfying experience and memories is provided. The only improvement that could be made for the university is faster responses and problem solving when it comes to responding and helping students with enquiries that concern the university.
My course has a good program with great lecturers to deliver the lessons in an easily processed way.
Bishop gate was a comfortable living environment
