Arden University is an institution that is committed to providing students from all walks of life with a quality university education, no matter their constraints.
Rather than a full-time campus university, Arden offers students the chance to learn and earn a degree completely remotely, or they can opt for blended learning with two days a week spent at a study centre in Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, London or Berlin.
Students will have access to expert tutors and a well-rounded support team, who are on hand to answer any questions and guide students through their qualification from the first moments of enrolment right through to graduation. Services include dedicated careers support too, giving students the best platform to promote themselves when applying for future roles.
As part of the aim to help make university study more accessible, students are able to work a remote degree around their current employment, and work experience is considered alongside formal qualifications as part of the application process. There are also flexible payment options for fees, while finance is available through the Student Loans Company.
Arden’s array of degrees covers subjects from business, law, and marketing, to psychology, criminology, healthcare, and everything in between. Prospective students can browse their full list of programmes on the university’s website.
Arden offers students the option of course start dates every three months, helping them to begin their studies at the time that best suits their individual needs.
With online learning, students are able to study anytime and anywhere, meaning they can gain a recognised degree without having to attend university in person. Blended learning gives students the best of both worlds: a mix of face-to-face teaching and online learning at the study centre of their choice in the UK or Germany.
Students will learn from professional, experienced staff who tailor programmes to best prepare students for future work in their chosen field.

GET PROSPECTUSArden University is proud to offer non-standard entry for its study programmes. This means that work experience is also valued alongside traditional qualifications when determining eligibility for a course. Students will be assessed not just on their academic achievements but also on any relevant experiences, opening up places to a wider student base.
Each course is different and may require prior experience in the subject area, either through past work or qualifications in the specific field. Students are able to find out more about the range of courses available, and the specific entry requirements for each course, by visiting the university’s website.
There are also various options for foundation years, which serve as a re-introduction into education for anyone who needs extra preparation or who has been away from the subject for some time.

ASK A QUESTIONAs a university that offers online and blended learning, rather than full-time in-person learning, there is no university accommodation owned by Arden, and no dedicated accommodation team that can help with any specific questions on student housing, although the support team will offer any advice and guidance that they can.
Students who choose a blended learning course will spend two days per week at their study centre, learning for four hours each day. Students can therefore decide whether they require private rented accommodation, or if they prefer to commute for those days.
To help students, there is a page on the university’s website that explains the accommodation options in each city in more detail, linking to relevant resources that can help students find the right accommodation for their needs.
At Arden University, students’ learning comes to them. This means that students have 24/7 online access to all of their learning materials using ilearn, which is their virtual classroom, library, diary, and lecture theatre all rolled into one.
In addition to this, with blended learning students also have access to modern facilities that are fully equipped with everything they need to fulfil their study goals, including computers, high speed internet, printing services, study spaces, and breakout rooms.
When students have problems outside of class time, they are able to get in touch with either their tutors or the university’s support services via email and telephone, so students never need to feel isolated from the support on offer and will never have trouble making the most of the learning facilities provided.

The university works with tutors who have extensive industry experience and a focus on learning that puts theory into practice. They guide students through their studies and help them to develop practical, transferable skills to support their future career, based on their own expertise in the needs of the subject and wider jobs market.
Many of Arden’s internationally recognised courses are accredited by leading professional bodies, such as the British Psychological Society (BPS), the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), ensuring your qualification meets rigorous industry standards.
Arden University does not have its own students’ union, but all students who undertake a qualification at the university are automatically enrolled into the Arden’s Student Association. This is a group that allows students to connect with each other both locally and from around the world, supporting each other and meeting likeminded others.
Students who are in need of representation either when seeking help or in a dispute with their course staff should contact the university’s support team for more assistance.
While there is no students’ union organising clubs, societies or other events, that doesn’t mean that the university doesn’t have an active social calendar. Regular events are organised to encourage students to meet each other and enjoy some down time, which can be monitored through the university’s social media channels.
While there are no clubs or societies at Arden’s study centres, a variety of social events are held throughout the year, as well as opportunities for getting involved or becoming a student ambassador or representative.
Arden University doesn’t have a full students’ union, and many students prefer to study using a distance learning approach. That’s why there aren’t any clubs or societies that students can join that meet on a recurring basis.
Instead, students can follow the university’s social media channels to stay on top of the latest plans for social events, giving them the opportunity to meet up with other students in a more relaxed setting and make new friends.
There are also dedicated study breakout areas, so students looking to build relationships with others for peer support will be able to arrange times where they can meet and share ideas.
Arden University offers the opportunity to undertake a blended learning degree, where students will mix online study with lectures and seminars in person. Rather than take place in one central location, these are available in various cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds in the UK, and Berlin in mainland Europe.
For students who choose a blended learning approach, they’ll find that the university’s study facilities are situated right in the heart of the city centre, within easy reach of major transport links and with all the student lifestyle essentials in easy reach such as shops, cafes, live entertainment and nightlife.
Students will spend two days per week at their chosen study centre, with classes lasting for four hours. This gives students a lot of flexibility in planning their approach to blended learning and how they will enjoy their city life around their studies.
All of the courses at Arden come with a strong focus on employability, many of which are also accredited by leading professional bodies in the UK. Whether students are looking to start, advance, or change their career, Arden will provide them with the qualification and skills they need to achieve their ambitions.
Arden also offers an exhaustive online careers portal, packed full of resources designed to help students to achieve their own career goals, including an interview simulator, CV guide/builder, job vacancy search engine, and more. These are the perfect tools to prepare students for their next steps upon graduation.
Graduates from Arden University have found success at well-known companies such as IBM, Apple, KLB group, and Clarins, to name a few. Many graduates have also received promotions or salary increases since earning their degree.
Arden has set up a number of scholarships and regional offers to help students from across the globe earn the degree they’ve always wanted. These are primarily targeted at international students from outside the UK and EU and can offer a discount of up to 40% on tuition fees depending on the level of study.
Online learners joining the university from a wide range of selected regions are now eligible to receive this discount on their fees, subject to a short application process. They’ve also established a scholarship for talented and ambitious students in the UK to pursue postgraduate studies, with the chance to have up to £2,000 discounted from postgraduate tuition if the student achieves a 2.1 undergraduate degree or better.
Undergraduate students from the UK aren’t eligible for scholarships but can instead explore their funding options through Student Finance, including loans against tuition fees.
Arden University is committed to the idea that cost shouldn’t be a barrier to pursuing higher education. That’s why their online learning courses are up to 30% more affordable than the average UK university qualification.
Students also have the option of pay-as-you-go tuition, as a means to help them spread the cost and stay in control of their finances throughout their studies.
To help cover the costs, students may be eligible for a loan, or they may be able to explore the option of employee sponsorship if they are returning to education whilst working.
With Arden University offering a choice of distance or blended Learning, costs do vary. Distance learning fees are £6,935 per year for UK undergraduate courses, while blended learning courses cost £9,250 per year. Students who wish to travel to the Berlin study centre will instead pay €10,500 a year.
