It’s that time of year again, where we announce the winners of the Whatuni Student Choice Awards. These awards showcase the great work that unis do for students, and in fact, the basis for the awards come from over 35,000 reviews submitted by those students. It’s all cyclical, you see…
This year, the winner for the Whatuni Student Choice Awards postgraduate category was Nottingham Trent University!
“Trent is a great place to study because of the variety of people here, the global, cultural, contextual differences between each student. You have the chance to make so many new friends who come from all walks of life! The tutors are supportive and full of incredible knowledge and ideas which they are very happy to share and discuss with you. Trent allows and encourages you to develop your identity, thoughts and dreams to be the best version of yourself.“ – Student review on Whatuni

What to look out for when choosing your postgraduate university
Taking a postgraduate degree is similar to taking an undergraduate degree in many ways, but in many other ways, it’s very different indeed. With lots of postgraduate courses being explicitly work-focused, it’s important for unis to offer more career support to postgrads. Different modes of study also require different approaches from lecturers or facilities specifically for postgrads, which can make or break a course. With students more likely to be at a different point in their lives than undergrads, has the university considered making their courses accessible for students with children or job commitments?
