The Whatuni Student Choice Awards are our opportunity to celebrate the brilliant work that universities do to support their students. Each year, over 35,000 reviews are submitted by UK students, and these reviews for the basis of the awards, so when it comes time for you to look for a place to study, you’ll have insider info on what’s great about an institution.

This year, the winner for the Whatuni Student Choice Awards University of the Year category was Nottingham Trent University

“Nottingham Trent University has been fantastic. My course being Graphic Design surprised me. The facilities the course offers are great. As well as the teaching staff that are extremely talented and know which direction to guide you in. The best aspect of NTU for me is the fact I can do a degree I love and also play a sport I love, such as netball. Not many creative universities offer this experience. So it’s the best of both worlds.“ – Student review on Whatuni

“My time at NTU has been nothing short of fantastic in all aspects. From the course, the university life, the employability support, the facilities, etc., everything mentioned has made my time at NTU unforgettable.” – Student review on Whatuni

“I transferred to Nottingham Trent University and it was the best decision I ever made, they have been very supportive of personal circumstances. I feel there is something for everyone to get involved in and immense levels of support all around campus for whatever you need, these can be online and in person. The wide range of facilities helps when you want to find a quiet place to study or a change of scenery to study. Can't recommend NTU enough!” – Student review on Whatuni

What the University of the Year award is based on

The University of the Year category brings together all parts of a student’s experience at an institution, making it an encompassing view of how the university is perceived. Not only do students consider the traditional aspects of university life, like teaching and facilities, many will also be self-reflective, considering how the university has helped them to grow, the friendships they’ve been able to build and how proud they are to have studied at the institution.
