Nottingham Business School (NBS) is proud to hold both EQUIS and AACSB accreditation, representing one of the highest standards of achievement for business schools worldwide.
Nottingham Law School (NLS) is based in the Chaucer building at the City Campus. The Law School has invested in a mock courtroom, a mock family courtroom and four mooting rooms – all to enhance law students’ mooting and advocacy experience in an authentic environment.
Sports are a big part of NTU. Facilities include a British Olympic Association (BOA) approved environmental chamber, designed to help Olympic athletes acclimatise to extreme competition environments. Students can use it to simulate climates found anywhere in the world, from Everest to Egypt.
Science courses are well-catered for at the university, from teaching and research laboratories for bioscience and chemistry students, to the crime scene training facility, ballistics and document examination laboratories, for forensic science students.
The Clifton Campus holds the Trent Astronomical Observatory with a 5m revolving dome, housing a 20ft modified Newtonian telescope and a 14ft Meade LX200 telescope specifically for astronomical observations. The dome can also be transformed into a planetarium and is recognised by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
NTU also has a range of award-winning journalism courses on offer, plus access to three radio studios and a functioning TV studio. The largest student newsroom in the UK is based at the City Campus.
The City, Clifton and Brackenhurst campuses all have their own facilities with dedicated space for meeting friends, grabbing a drink, taking part in sports, and having a great night out at student-friendly prices.

NTU has a dedicated employability team available on campus, offering advice and support with securing placements and graduate roles, developing CVs, application masterclasses, interview simulators, advice on interviews and job-hunting techniques, and more. Students can get personalised advice and support to help them with their individual goals and plans.
The employability team also run FutureHub, the university’s online employability support centre. It provides access to support and guidance, jobs and opportunities, events listings and online employability advisors who can answer queries through live chat.
