The campus has great facilities and everything you need is right at hand such as a shop, canteen, Starbucks, Costa and all the sports facilities. Marjon has a variety of great facilities that students are able to access most of the time like the cinema room, games room, astro, tennis courts and sports halls. There is an ok night life with buses to Pryzm every Wednesday to celebrate after BUCS. The Uni is on the outside of town which is nice when you are looking for something quieter. It is close to the moors which is good for an evening or weekend walk. Although it is further from town there is a bus stop right outside campus with buses that run regularly to the Barbican and town.
The course is a great course and sets you up well with two placements each year that build on length from 4 weeks to 17 weeks. Throughout these placements you will teach lessons in PE as well as get the opportunity to teach and qualify with a second subject. The course is well supported by the lectures who all have good subject knowledge and are happy to lend a hand. The course is tailored to develop your knowledge in all areas including practical skills as well as pedagogical knowledge. In first year you will look at athletics, anatomy &physiology, non invasion games, biomechanics, OAA and pedagogy. Throughout all of this you will develop knowledge on how to teach including aspects like behaviour management, positive teaching, inclusion and engagement. In 2nd year you continue to develop your knowledge of pedagogy by looking at curriculum, assessment and examination PE. You will also continue the fun practical aspect of the course through an invasion games and aesthetic module. The course is 100% face to face with a mix of practical lectures and theory.
Tufnell is an en suite halls and there were 5 people in my flat. The university matched us well with most of our flat getting on well. The halls are located at the centre of campus close to other friends and all the facilities. The rooms are well kept and maintenance are on hand to fix things throughout the year. Our hob broke and they replaced it the following day. Campus is a nice quiet place to live but also has a good social life with everything close by. The rooms are very well priced and although basic have all the amenities you need.
Very friendly and helpful staff, amazing facilities.
In-class courses with enough equipment to be used for all students.
Small campus and class sizes
Would prefer more leaded placements and internships
Showers and rooms are good, but the people you live with can really be bad. However when I needed to change because of bullying, it was quick and helpful
Small, friendly and inclusive
Good content, great support
Student union needs improving
Love the lecturers

Lecturers are good but would prefer a range of placements rather than selective few
Great being on campus
A great supportive university
Great creative course
The worst part about this uni is the location of it. It is so out the way of the city centre. The best thing about it is the facilities for my course
The clinic is good experience for me and something that it her unis do not offer.
We didn’t have water for half the year because of bacteria in the pipes. Some of us got made ill and nobody got any compensation.
The social aspect of the university is fantastic as well as the outstanding facilities
Tutors have a friendly approach with a good insight into the course
