City attracts some of the best talent from around the world to deliver courses across its six academic Schools. City offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, alongside foundation degrees, evening and weekend courses and professional development courses.
Many courses involve placement opportunities and guest lecturers given by expert professionals. The university has also established an integrated learning environment combining physical and virtual learning – with lectures supplemented by online study resources. City places a heavy emphasis on student and staff engagement, and works with the students’ union to make sure that student feedback is taken on and implemented.

Entry requirements vary depending on the specific course of study.
City offers a range of accommodation options, including modern and newly refurbished halls of residence just a short walk from the main City buildings, as well as private accommodation. Living in halls is a great way to meet new people from around the university, and City guarantees halls of residence places to all first-year undergraduates who accept a place before the accommodation deadline.

Facilities
Established over 100 years ago, City has long been a place where business professionals have gained their academic foundations. Their ongoing success in educating the industry leaders of tomorrow is supported by their excellent subject-specific facilities and learning resources, which ensure that course content is up to date, and that graduates are fully prepared to enter their professional careers in confidence.
The university invests intelligently in its built infrastructure and has spent £120 million since 2012 in developing its London campus facilities. This has included a full rehaul of the main campus entrance, and the design and construction of a new state-of-the-art 240-seat lecture theatre.
The main campus Library is a five-floor building which contains a huge archive of books, journals and digital learning materials. There are five additional specialist libraries for Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) and The City Law School.
The university’s sports centre, CitySport is the largest facility of its kind in central London, with 3,000m2 of floorspace and the latest health and exercise equipment. As a member of the University of London network, City students benefit from access to numerous student facilities, libraries, accommodation options and societies.

Through its Programme Representatives, City Students’ Union (SU) represents the student voice and ensures that it is heard on key academic discussions, as well as social and community issues. The SU also supports students in creating their own campaigns on matters that are close to their hearts, providing independent advice on a range of academic and non-academic issues students might have.
Not only that, but the SU also makes sure that students have fun while they study. They organise events and support City’s student clubs and societies, Raising and Giving (RAG) activity, student media and student-led environmental projects, so that students can play a full part in the City community and make the most of their time at City.

Clubs and Societies
The university students’ union organises a huge variety of clubs and special interest societies, which reflect the diversity of its student community. From anime to archery, mountaineering to music appreciation, students are sure to find something new to get involved with. There is a strong culture of sports, with clubs and teams for both competitive and recreational participation. These are a great way to stay fit and healthy, while meeting new people from outside the degree course and making new friends.
Students whose interests are not yet supported are encouraged to set up new clubs and groups, and the SU can offer organisation support. City joined the University of London (UoL) in 2016, and consequently, City students benefit from access to their huge range of societies, services, sports facilities, libraries, accommodation options and libraries.

As its name suggests, City, University of London is based in the beating heart of the UK capital, and its students enjoy a vast landscape of opportunities, from academic and career related options to cultural and entertainment activities and events, all in a global contemporary metropolis with a rich and visible history. London is regarded as one of the top student cities in the world.
City’s main Northampton Square campus is located near the popular district of Shoreditch, which is home to a diverse and eclectic mix of restaurants, bars and clubs and music and arts venues. City is also within walking distance of many other exciting areas within London such as the world-famous shopping district of Oxford and Carnaby Street, Central London with its incredible selection of museums and art galleries, and the West End - home of London and global theatre and music events.

City is a career-oriented institution which dedicates much of its resources and organisational efforts into adding value to the career prospects of its 21,000 students, and in 2022 was ranked 6th in London for graduate prospects by the Complete University Guide.
This success is partially due to the fact that their curriculum and university facilities are designed in collaboration with leading employment organisations and professional partners, ensuring that course content is continually updated and relevant to the demands of industry. Most degrees offer work placements modules, and many carry professional accreditation.

Fees
For the 2022/23 academic year, UK undergraduate student fees start at around £9,250. Fees for international students are higher and vary by course.
