Course is fully in class, there is non online which is great. It’s 9-4 4 days a week which is a lot but good compared to other courses

The service in halls is shockingly bad as cannot call anyone as it just fails and cuts out and have to log a lot of maintenance calls as a lot of stuff breaks but accommodation is good value for money and big and spacious

The course is taught completely in-person and modules are fairly well-attended. The course hours are quite manageable - only on campus 2 days per week with a 2 hour lecture and 1 hour seminar on each day. The most time-consuming aspect is all the reading you should do to prepare for your seminars, it can be a drain but it’s definitely worth at least skim-reading the articles etc. and answering the questions the seminar tutors set about the reading because they are highly likely to come in useful when it comes to doing your coursework. The staff all very knowledgeable in their fields of research, which is helpful when it comes to beginning to write your dissertation in 3rd year (like I am now) - they allocate you a dissertation supervisor at the end of 2nd-year, which is great if you want to get a head-start with your dissertation. It’s quite easy to contact the lecturers, they’re always available via email, however they might take a couple of days to respond depending on their availability/hours of work.

The lectures haven’t been much supportive during my time at university so that has been a shame and a real downside…

The course I have chosen is extremely interesting. When I first applied to university I wasn't sure what I wanted to but I knew that I wanted to do something in this field. This course has helped me to gain the confidence in choosing a career as well as gaining the appropriate knowledge when I go out into the world of work. The content is very interesting and allows you to go into depth of the meaning behind what you do out in practice.

Best - The course is very interactive, with lots of different aspects to it; e.g laboratory work and practical work In person learning and small class size so its easier to get on with everyone to build relationships Worst - repetitive content

Most - 24 hour security, so always felt safe. It was worth the money as it was always cleaned to a high standard. The location of the halls was nice and quiet, depending on where you stayed. Wifi was fine and had no issues with it Worst - sometimes can be noisy because of the other flats, but that is expected

Best - in person learning, small classes so you can really engage in the seminars and ask questions and build relationships with peers and tutors Worst - occasionally repetitive content, content sometimes feels irrelevant

Affordable but still nice A bit bland to look at Community feel was nice in shared spaces and clustered halls. No problems with hot water or plumbing or electrics. The one time we had an issue it was fixed quickly.

Able to have a blended learning environment and focus on the key aspects of learning.

As I am studying the MSc Psychology program which is a conversion program for students without any psychological background, it fulfills all the requirements of the students and lets them understand the fundamental concept of psychology and also progresses towards the professional aspect of it by teaching us different modules. We have our lectures two days a week which is sufficient for the students to keep up with all the modules and we also have an online drop-in session with our tutors where we can discuss about our modules and everything regarding the course. Other than this, we can always contact or talk to our personal tutor if we want to give feedback about anything or if we need any help/support in any module, therefore the course hours, the contact hours, and the internal support by the tutors is excellent.

University residence halls are best in my opinion and offer everything according to the budget, they also have necessary safety measures on the go in case of need such as fire policies and everything. The location of the halls is really good and near to the EdgLink bus stop. The main building is also nearby and the way to the library is also not far. in my opinion, other halls are also great as I have been to a few of them and they also offer wonderful amenities according to the pricing they ar charging from the students, therefore I recommend students to apply for the halls if they can as they won't face any issues regarding this.

Covid disrupted the learning experience and practice placement

The computer science course is fantastic whether you are a beginner or have been doing it for years, the content is high quality and thorough covering all the basics and beginning to go into large amounts of details. The deadlines are manageable and have enough time to do them. The lectures are useful to learn the information whereas the seminars are great to put the newly learnt information into practice. The lecturers are very helpful in the seminars and will guide you if you are confused. The computers in the tech hub are brilliant and have all the resource needed to do all the work.

The accommodation on campus is fantastic. The rooms are of a good size. The rooms are great quality with plenty of space for all of your belongings. The kitchen in the flat is brilliant the cupboards are spacious for your food. All of the facilities in the kitchen are in fantastic condition. The internet is great and works perfectly for whatever it is that your are doing whether you are on WIFI or using ethernet.
