Wasn’t on this course but no option for the access I was on. Super unorganised, dates for assignments due and feedback was continuously moved making it hard to organise studies. Campus doesn’t allow for students to stay over holidays, making it hard to get a job. Campus is very much a college campus rather than uni students. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Unorganised, un enthusiastic lecturers. Though some are really great, some just didn’t want to be there and we could all notice.
Halls were okay, VERY over priced for what they are. Not the social atmosphere you’d hope from living in halls either
For a country and land based college the facilities are very good. Lecture theatres and library modernised and fit for purpose. Clean, well ran and well kept indoor and outdoor areas. Plenty of car parking spaces for day students. Has it's own zoo, farm and kennels, perfect for animal sector students. Study pods can be booked for meetings and studying. Set on the edge of a town, close to amenities but still in the country not rural. The right lecturers really put a lot of effort into supporting and getting to know students but this isn't consistent across all lecturers. Always student events going on on campus but nightlife in the town is there but nothing amazing.
This is a bit of a dead end course. Yes the content is interesting, its science but career options afterwards are minimal without further study, is it really worth the money? I feel experience in industry for this sector would benefit students more if they don't wish to complete further higher education. This university has access to amazing facilities but they are completely under used in teaching, incorporating more practical learning could really provide valuable experience for students in the working world. A practical husbandry module was included but content was poor no real skills were learned. A module that included gaining work experience, no help was given by the university to find a placement, considering the sector it is surprising this university has no links with business or employers for work experience. Certain lecturers are really talented at teaching and know there subjects well, they have interesting backgrounds and help keep students engaged. This is not consistent though some lecturers teaching style is boring and hard to understand. One lecturer in particular was very poor and had no idea what she was talking about. During my 3 years here staff turnover was high and teaching time was often lost when staff were lost without immediate replacements. Career guidance is offered by university of Chester for so many years after grad but upon looking into this it was not available to reaseheath students. The career department at reasheath was meant more for the college students and wasn't very helpful. They do highlight they can help with Cvs however by university age I think this is already understood and no advice could be given that a Google search cannot. The career department lacks the local knowledge and business links that are not available from a Google search. When asked what graduates have gone into after study, the answer was not known. The course content needs to be changed to provide graduates with skills or qualifications for the working world especially in this sector where it is well known that experience is essential. Tutors are easily available to book 1:1 meetings. Assignments were stressful and depressing but isn't any university like this. Frustrating when marking seemed to be biased based on the lecturer marking as some seem to understand the marking criteria differently than others. Assignment submission is supposed to be anonymous but not really sure of this.
Nice little town plenty of shops, restaurants, bars. Always a part time job going. Trains available to Manchester nearby. Can walk into town in about 15 minutes but also relaxing country setting. Minibus service to supermarkets. Feels very safe.

Boring it’s a animal college needs more hands on experiences!!! Teachers need to talk less and let us get on with practical work eg one of the practical teacher just stood there for 2 hours talking and we didn’t even do any thing! So we basically got changed into our overalls for no reason! This is unacceptable for a uni!
Very good
Good we have tutor meetings, should be more
There should be more practical hours and more handling as it is pretty boring now

Work placements on walls
Love it! I think my course has given me so much more experience in the field of work I am going towards. I love the mix of practical and theory based work and that lecturers will always find ways to teach students of a range of learning styles
Brilliant! Lots of technology for students to use and the veterinary equipment is great to practice on
Really good! Wellbeing is always offered to students that need it but I do find that if you are not a full time student you will have to take time from lessons to go to wellbeing
I like the fact that we do different learning styles each week to suit each individual but I do find that some subjects can be rushed and students are forced to research things themselves to catch up

They bring in different ambassadors for companies relevant to your study to encourage students
I am very much liking the college experience, especially moving away from home, I have settled in really well to the college and am enjoying being here, and I look ford to the rest of the year here
I feel the facilities are good, there is plenty of thing and activities to do on campus
Very good
I'm happy with the modules that we are studying but I feel the timetable could be done better

There is a careers department and they help you if needed
I feel it can be a very supportive place with lots of clubs and friendly staff who treat you as adults but can joke around with you as well. This is a friendly environment to spend the first year of my course before moving to study at Chester .
In the library , there are Not enough computers for students to use. They have laptops but that depends on availability.
We can book 15 minute 1:1’s but not once has the tutor arrived on time or apologised for being late.
I like how discussion is encouraged. In workshop lectures, we aren’t in a suitable room as we are all sat in rows so we can’t easily work in groups which means a few will just not participate and end just end up spending the lecture on their phone.
Sometimes we receive emails about signing up for research events but none that are free so far.
So far I've had a great college experience, I'm very far from home and I've been made to feel welcome and that being here is my new home. I've enjoyed my course. The food isn't too bad. It's in a nice family area, great lectures and lecturers
Facilities a good, we have an onsite zoo, plenty of computer spaces, study areas for HE and FE
Tutors give back good academic feed back, telling us where we went wrong and what we did well and where to improve. Safeguarding is excellent. There are counselling sessions if we need them
What I like most is that the course that suited me and what I would like to achieve in life, What I don't like its the little handling sessions I have

We have career drop in sessions with tutors multiple times a week
It’s been amazing. Very stressful at times but I feel comfortable on campus and know where to go if I need help. There are multiple activities in the daytime and night for people to get involved with. And the free buses are great for people needing them
The college has great facilities such as a gym, the bar, 24 hour access to ict facilities and much more! Student accommodation here is great, however I think more rules should be put in place to help shared houses be kept clean. The catering systems could also be worked on, perhaps more options and drop prices slightly.
Very good. There are multiple options and people to talk to if need be. And specific people to help for issues.
I like the fact that we are able to access the work at power points from lectures online, and absolutely love the fact we are hands on with animals in practical sessions

Reaseheath is great when it comes to these aspects, college students and most university students are required to do voluntary hours to complete the course. There are also careers and placement advisors that are easy accessible and happy to help when they can.
Good! Good people, interesting teachers and lectures. Social scene not here so much as it’s a small uni but it’s nice that you can know lots of people. Accommodation is great.
Very interesting course Teachers always available for questions Small class size which helps with learning and able to ask more questions. Good facilities Interesting lectures.
Most: Small class sizes. Good teachers making lectures interesting and interactive. Least: Some topics covered I don’t feel are relevant.
