Part-time courses
For all part-time courses, A Levels or a Level 3 subject in a relevant discipline is required. However, in some circumstances relevant work experience will be taken into consideration and applicants will be considered on an individual basis. Each application is considered on its merits. University Centre Reaseheath is flexible in their normal offer if the applicant can show a commitment to succeed and has relevant skills and experience, for example, through employment, voluntary work or private study.

ASK A QUESTIONUniversity Centre Reaseheath offers a range of comfortable accommodation options for up to 1,000 students on its beautiful campus. Living on site is a fantastic way to meet new people, learn to live independently and truly experience student life.
Each student’s room has a workstation and Wi-Fi and is within walking distance of classrooms and lecture theatres. There is 24-hour security, support from the student services team and safeguarding officers, and CCTV on campus. There are both catered and self-catered options, and students can choose between an en-suite room or a shared bathroom.
Residence students benefit from use of excellent social facilities including common rooms, table tennis and pool tables, large screen TVs, a gym and a student bar.

The Student Wellbeing Team offers a confidential service to students who may be suffering with homesickness, difficulties with coursework, financial problems, health or family issues and much more. The counselling service provides ongoing support with specific problems and the Chaplain can offer additional support and pastoral care to students of all faiths or of no faith.
There’s also a specialist Higher Education Support Team (HEST) which supports students with a range of disabilities, including dyslexia, dyspraxia, ADHD, ASD, health conditions and mental health needs, and can provide guidance in applying for the Disabled Students Allowance (DSA).

Agricultural degrees cover a range of farming practices and industry-standard facilities, such as the new Lely Astronaut A5 automated robotic milking system, a vertical farming unit, and hydroponic glasshouse.
Animal Science
Reaseheath has held a zoo licence for over fifteen years, and they are a full member of BIAZA (British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums). Their zoo is home to over 250 different animal species, including aquatic, exotic and companion animals.
Equine Science
The Equestrian Centre at UCR combines scientific research with access to relevant industry experience. The school boasts cutting-edge facilities such as a VO2 Max Testing equipment for riders, gait analysis system, and a mechanical horse.
Food Science
The £7 million Food Centre is one of the best-equipped food processing teaching facilities in Europe, and the state-of-the-art BRC7 Grade AA facilities include a commercial dairy, butchery, commercial bakery and innovation rooms.
Reaseheath’s Student Association represents all University Centre Reaseheath students and acts as the student voice in a range of ways. Based in the student social area, the Student Association is made up of current students from different courses who organise a lively programme of events including Thursday night socials, karaoke and live bands as well as exciting off-site activities.
University Centre Reaseheath also offers a packed schedule of sports clubs and societies, which give a chance to achieve new potentials and make friends with similar interests. Whether students want to try a new sport such as badminton or boxing, perfect their creative or communication skills, promote inclusion at an LGBTQIA+ or culture groups, or relax with friends in the newly renovated Courtyard bar and social space, it is all at UCR.
Many students also choose to be part of Reaseheath’s RAG (raising and giving) society, which has raised over £280,000 for nominated charities since it began in 1987.

University Centre Reaseheath is set in the historical town of Nantwich in the heart of Cheshire. A medieval market town with a contemporary edge, Nantwich is an attractive town with numerous shops, cafés and restaurants. Nantwich offers a great night out for students, with plenty of pubs and nightclubs hosting regular student nights.
The campus location provides excellent opportunities to experience the great outdoors, with real adventure and beautiful scenery, in North Wales, the Peak District and Lake District all within easy travelling distance. There are plenty of opportunities for walkers, mountain bikers, horse riders, water sports enthusiasts and rock climbers.
Transport links for Nantwich are excellent with the nearby M6 motorway, Crewe railway station and a bus and train station in Nantwich. The nearby cities of Chester, Liverpool and Manchester all offer great days and fun nights out too.

Tuition fees are charged for each academic year of a course and are set by the University Centre annually. Whether studying full or part-time, student loans or grants are available to help with living costs and tuition fees. Other financial support, including non-repayable bursaries and scholarships, may be available to eligible students depending on individual circumstances.

You'll be shocked by the number of clubs and societies on offer at University Centre Reaseheath. There's something for everyone! As well as being able to pick different clubs and societies, most courses let you choose modules at different points through your degree.
As well as personalising your course through optional modules, you may have the chance to do a work placement during your studies. Developing your professional skills through work placements is a great way to add to your CV and boost your employability.
If you want a job you love (and who doesn't?), getting a job in a field you're passionate about is a great place to start. By studying a subject you really enjoy, you'll be qualified for a range of jobs relating to that subject, which you'll hopefully love.
For those who aren't ready to give up on education after an undergraduate degree, you'll have the opportunity to progress to postgraduate study such as a master's or even a PhD.
