I love studying chem eng at Bath, as they offer placements that relate to your degree (and often aren’t offered to other unis). While some content can be dry, this is true of chem eng everywhere, and the end jobs and projects are really interesting.

Very, lots of great sports and academic facilities, and they’re always expanding

General support is great, although the disability services are often overbooked. If you want the best support it’s worth starting the process of getting it ASAP, but once you’ve got it it will be hugely helpful.

Again, it’s one of the best bits about the uni. They offer a lot, and have even been voted the best in the country as they represent us really well.

First year is amazing as you can get accommodation on campus, in later years your accommodation is nearer town which is quite nice as you get to see more of Bath. There’s enough clubs and bars for a good time, as well as tons of coffee shops. It’s really easy to get to Bristol too if you want to go somewhere bigger

There’s a huge number of activities at Bath, and all the sports clubs are very inclusive of beginners. It’s definitely a highlight of the uni

There’s definitely a lot of self study, and often a little too much wordy content to memorise for exams, but the group projects and more technical subjects are always interesting. Definitely a course where you can push yourself, but there’s huge flexibility to go to sports and societies when you want.

The huge focus on placements and employability is one of the main reasons I chose Bath. At least half the people on any course will do a placement and there’s a great set of careers services. They have great links woth employers and going to the uni makes you very employable.

Ups and downs, but fairly great

They are fairly decent, require more space, more eating facilities/restaurants etc.

Safe, calm, a bit boring, but fairly easy

Department is supportive, most lecturers are great
