The location and centralisation of the university is amazing. Wonderful living in Camden nearby and both my area and the university area are great and super easy to reach. So much variety on offer to create a wonderfully broad student body. Fantastic. The students union members have been said to have mixed reviews but the university puts of amazing displays of talent in every discipline.

Good quality of course structure and delivery. Unfortunate high amount of online learning despite change in covid situation. The course is not for the light hearted and is quite strenuous must be kept up to date with otherwise becomes unmanageable.

Interesting course, but it has lots of issues. Professors are world class although some, whilst brilliant, are not the best at teaching/lecturing. UCL is very social and international and I have enjoyed making friends from all over the world. It feels good to be at such a highly regarded university

There aren't enough lecture theatres for everyone so we often have to go off campus to hotels and whatnot for our lectures which is very inconvenient and irritating. The physics department does not really have its own lecture theatres either which is shocking since it is so large. UCL definitely has good facilities, just not for us in particular. The libraries are excellent and there are lots of study spaces, However; UCL is definitely overcrowded. There are simply too many students here

We are assigned mentors, have tutors for certain topics and counselling is available and highly publicised. Overall the support has improved

The SU here is very active and runs many programmes, events, bars etc. I don't have time to get involved right now

Great, it's London. Crime is a bit scary sometimes though but you have to be cautious as would be the case anywhere else. UCL is in a safe area and is very central, though that is not the case for all of UCL's accommodation and other facilities

There are hundreds of clubs and societies and most are quite interesting. The good thing about having so many students is the wide range of interests, you can easily find something you've never done before and join its society, and you might absolutely love it. Societies at UCL are mostly very active and host interesting events.

My course contains way too much experimental physics. I want to do maths and solve equations etc. not spend time in a lab. This would be fine if the practical part of my course was opt in, unfortunately experiments are compulsory in the first and second years, and probably will be in the third year too. UCL should most certainly make practicals optional as I already know that I absolutely do not want to do anything involving lab work at all once I graduate. A more modular course would be highly appreciated, and I know that I share this feeling with many other students.

UCL has a careers centre, and we are assigned mentors during our first year to guide us with coming to university. There are careers advisers available and UCL has good links to employers.

Old and a bit grimy but comfortable and relatively cheap (for London), and catering is included; the food is actually quite good. My room is a bit small and has no en suite but the facilities are mostly working well and regularly cleaned
