I am enjoying my course, but find the interaction with my department confusing at times. My accommodation is good, but I think that hinges on having good housemates.

The buildings are a mix of old and new, so you can't guarantee what they'll be like. Some of the accommodation is better than others, but all the food and shopping options on campus are good, if overwhelmingly busy at lunchtimes.

Some tutors are more understanding than others, and some can feel unapproachable or distant. I have not yet used any counselling support.

The Sudent's Union does a lot on campus, so I think they are active and care about the experience of people at uni. I am not directly involved with the SU but do take part in their activities and am part of a society on campus.

I live on the campus, but it seems a lot of events go on in the city, and the nightlife is very active.

The societies are really good, there is an option to do everything you can imagine, most of them for free too!

I like the reading that is set for my modules, and the way seminar sessions are organised. But I don't like having so little contact time and no chance to have lectures to learn from the experts. I also don't like the contradictory messages that seem to be prevalent in my department.

There are lots of careers events that are free to attend, so it is easy to go to sessions that can help you advance in your work.

The facilities are good, if slightly old, and the cleaning service is wonderful. The bedrooms could use more storage space and the windows let a lot of cold air in. The noise outside is bad in the evenings as some students don't know how to act in residential areas...

Absolutely brilliant university, currently a first year student and am having the time of my life. Couldn't have asked for anything better. I love the city too, it has much exceeded expectations.
