I have really enjoyed my time at Exeter university and would definitely choose it again if I had the chance. It can take some time to find your place within such a large campus but joining clubs and really getting involved is really the best way to immerse yourself and feel a part of the university.

The sports facilities are excellent, many of the academic buildings are new or being upgraded and provide an excellent space to learn in. For music there is limited space, and there are limited activities.

I rarely tried to use the uni’s support facilities and therefore have little experience of this. I have heard good reviews from friends regarding their counselling services

I don’t do much around the student union. It provides a lot for those who need assistance for almost any reason throughout their time at union however it seems to be out of touch with the rest of the Uni. There are no mainstream activities available, the student pub is over priced and the student club failed to be popular enough to stay open. Somehow they aren’t appealing to the majority of students and this may prevent a sense of unity across the campus. Most people are focused entirely on the club or sport they have joined and rarely socialise outside of those activities.

Exeter City is small and as such a lovey place to go to Uni. You really feel you know the entire area you live in, and eveything is accessible by foot, so no taxi or bus expenses. Students live in the very centre of the city and therefore get the best of campus life and access to city centre amenities.

The clubs and societies are very active and provide the main social life on campus. They can often become a little clique-y as the committee are voted in, and often the same group of friends can dominate the society if they end up having the majority of places on the committee - this can seem off putting for first year students joining what looks like a large intimidating group of friends who aren’t interested in socialising outside their group rather than a welcoming society.

I liked that my course was accessible remotely and allowed me to learn in my own way, in my own time. I found my 1 hour lectures much more effective and I believe I remembered more of those lectures than the longer ones, however the majority of my lectures were 2 hours.

The career zone on campus is really helpful. They assist with planning what your next steps might be, what area you may want to go into and finding jobs. They will check applications and my college regularly advertised mock interviews with law firms to help prepare you if your application was successful.

The student welfare isn't as good as it should be and the student guild doesn't do much for the student. When comparing to my last uni cardiff it's lacks
