What do you think of your Students' Union in terms of student representation and facilities?

It’s great. Amazing range of activities and more than enough advertisement to get involved

Local life

Is your university in a good location in terms of distance to accommodation and local amenities?

It’s loud but made easy by the union who run walks through the town and let us know where the supermarkets are

Societies and Sports

How would you rate the variety of societies/sports?

Amazing. Great range. And perfect for my course as there’s lots of outdoor sports ones

Lecturers and teaching quality

What do you like most and least about the way your course(s) are taught?

I like how I am able to have one placement in a school and one in an outdoor centre to get the most experience from the PGCE as possible. Also we have close contact with our personal tutors which means I feel fully supported at all times. Even when not on campus

How does your uni make efforts to increase your employability (careers department, work placements, transferable skills)?

My university make the upmost effort to increase our employability but choosing specific placements where we can increase our skill development and personal skills. The university also stresses that the majority of students go on to have a job in their professional the year after graduating. In the last semester we have specific lectures and meetings with our personal tutors where we are briefed on how to find jobs and how to give the best applications.
