Northumbria is an excellent uni. I am loving it here and I think this is going to be the best years of my life. Make sure you make friends while you are in your first year, i.e. in halls and classrooms. Having friends in the classroom would make the lectures less boring, and would encourage you to attend lectures. You would spend a lot of time working in the library and the computer clusters, and also a lot of the projects are made in groups, so you should definitely make a lot of friends.
