I have enjoyed it. I’ve made incredible friends, learned a lot and have had an experience which will always stay with me. I don’t want to take this final year for granted because I know I will look back and regret it! The work can be long and demanding but we always get there.

They are good. I think some things could be improved in terms of lecture halls and tutorial rooms which are a bit dated and often there is not enough room. However, overall it isn’t bad.

It is good if you search for it. It is very subjective depending on the tutor. I have had tutor’s who give great feedback and recommendations to improve, and other who only provide a grade with little to none constructive criticism. If you require counselling then it is definitely available. I think it’s important to contact student regularly to remind them that support is there is needed. I think it would help.

I think there are plenty of facilities in the union, and it is a great place to catch up with friends, Gran a coffee at Starbucks or a drink after uni! I think the location could be better, but it is being relocated to a new building shortly. Excited to see! Also, representation of students is great and we are constantly kept in the loop about elections, who represents us and what is being done.

Yes! The campus is located in the heart of Glasgow City Centre, so there is so much in the surrounding area to do in terms of amenities, attractions etc. The campus itself follows a path leading away from George Square, and there are plenty of public transport options if you have a lecture at the top of the dreaded hills - being a business student this is massively beneficial (with SBS standing at the top of Cathedral St). I live at home and Glasgow has plenty of transport options to the city centre. I take the Subway, and a lot of my friends travel by train. My friends who stay in halls are very close to campus and can’t fault their travel time.

Great! Strathclyde Sport is a state of the art gym which opened last year. I attend this gym and play squash with the women’s coaching sessions. There are plenty of societies and there really is something for everyone.

I enjoy the balance between lectures and tutorials as I think it really facilitates learning and allows me to recap what I have learned. I dislike that often I have classes which can be quite disorganised and there can be breakdown in communication which causes delays in results being published, lecture rooms being changed last minute etc.

We have an excellent careers service who talk to students regularly at lectures and tutorials. I recently applied for an internship this summer and the help received was fantastic; from interview skills down to role play assessment centres. We are emailed weekly about session times which we can attend to improve our CV, interview skills, meet with large companies who are offering internships etc. I can’t fault the university in this area at all!

University experience has been great so far and I’m proud that I choose Strathclyde University. I would highly recommend it to anyone. It’s a fantastic university that is highly recommended worldwide for its business, engineering and science departments.

Facilities are good for the most part. The gym is a particular highlight. Some of the classrooms in the Royal College need a serious overhaul as they are a bit tired looking.

Pretty good as there are various services available. Personally I never used them.

Don’t like the students union as I don’t drink alcohol and I find that the majority of events are geared towards ‘drinking’ culture.

Glasgow is a great city with a rich melting pot of international students. There is plenty to do with a multitude of Bars, restaurants and clubs to keep people happy. The only negative is the weather as it rains ALOT.

There are various clubs and societies available to suit everyone’s taste. They are a great way for students to meet new people. Coursework should take top priority always.

Lecturers are very passionate and enthusiastic about their subject. There is a lot of self learning as is expected at Uni however, some lecturers fall into the trap of reading off the lecture slides for their classes and this isn’t engaging or stimulating in my humble opinion. Also the amount of time it takes to received marks and feedback can be pretty frustrating. Often our turnaround time of 3 weeks was late in some subjects.

Makes a good effort, there are various events over the years with prospective employers and also a very active careers service.
