I’ve really enjoyed met some really lovely people who I’ll be friends with for a long time. I had some issues in my first year with people but uni have helped me to overcome these

The library is really good, a lot of books to help with your study and the librarians are really helpful. Also have study rooms which are great for group work or if you want to work on your on in quiet.

Academic - it’s good, if you need any help with anything you can arrange a one to one meeting with your personal tutor who will help with whatever and explain things in more detail or recommend who to turn to if they don’t know, Personal - there’s a wide range of help if you suffer from mental illnesses, the counselling team are really lovely and helpful however you only get 6 sessions and if you can t make one week they cancel the rest of your sessions. But you can usually get sessions after about 2/3 weeks. They also put on group sessions but I haven’t tried them yet

It’s okay, I don’t really get involved in much but I think this is because they don’t really advertise much on what’s going on so I never know.

It’s okay, plymouth is quite a quiet city, but there’s always things to do like swimming, ice skating, cinema etc. Also the hoe is a really nice place to chill with friends and go for a walk.

They’re good, there’s a whole range and variety so if there’s something you’re interested in there’s probably a society for it. Although some of them cost a lot and they ask for more money throughout the year and it’s not sometimes justified where that money is going to.

Some lecturers just read off the slides. Others don’t but they talk too quickly so you can’t write down the notes quick enough and lectures aren’t recorded so if you miss the notes then your stuck. I like the seminars as it gives you a chance to clarify and lecturers are really good at answering any questions you have

Have GEAR sessions which tell us about different opportunities and help improve our CVs and our knowledge of recruitment processes . Also got the employability hub which help with any questions to do with job applications, covering letters CVs etc
