This is my second degree at this university. It is not only the location which plays a part in my attendance but also the range of courses available which makes the University of Bradford an excellent establishment of higher education.

The university has several buildings for use by the students. All buildings have computer clusters which are open 24 hours with security on campus to ensure safety. The university generates it's own green energy which powers the computers in the main campus library. The university also has a gym and student accommodation on campus.

Tutor feedback is timely and constructive.

The student union is a pleasant and inviting place. There is a restaurant, bar, activities i.e. table tennis, pool table etc for all interested students. The student representatives cover a broad aspect of university life and encourage all students to get involved.

The university is within 1 mile of the city centre. The surrounding area provides a vast number of cuisines to suit all types of palates. If you fancy a quick bespoke sandwich, you have access to Subway or if you are in the mood for middle eastern food, you can visit Classic Persian. Recently 'My Lahores' which is less than 500 feet away from the main campus have played host to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The university has access to several express supermarkets such as Tesco and Sainsburys'. Students are able to venture into the city centre and visit the Oastler centre for fresh fruit and vegetables as well as visiting the Broadway for other purchases such as clothes, stationary, beauty products etc. The city boasts several differnt entertainment venues. The Alhambra is over a 100 years old and has included shows such as 'Dirty Dancing', 'Wicked', 'The Lion King' as well as the annual pantomime. For cinema's students are able to choose between the Light or Cineworld to catch up on all the latest films. The Cineworld complex also has a bowling alley, with student discounts for those who want to relax with friends or want to brush up on their game of bowling.

There area a number of sports and societies at the university. There is something for everyone. From american football team to extreme frisbee, there is a society or sport for everyone.

The convenience of a distance learning course enables me to work full time and also earn a master's degree. I can choose when and where I do my reading/ learning. I prefer the traditional classroom based learning as that is what I am used to. Being an independent learner has enabled me to hone my skills as a modern student and not to be spoon-fed the information.

Career webinars are sent on a daily basis to the university emails. The library holds seminars to improve on skills such as critical analysis, use of technology etc. The careers department offer consultations on career advice, interview skills and also on placements.
