The annual Whatuni Student Choice Awards (WUSCAs) highlight the incredible work carried out by institutions for their students. The awards, in their 10th year, are collated from over 30,000 real student reviews, collected from campuses around the UK and from students using the Whatuni website. Read about the category winners and find out more about WUSCA 2022.
Due to Covid restrictions, the 2021 WUSCAs were submission-based, with institutions submitting case studies, which were then judged by a special student panel. For this reason, we're comparing the student-voted scores and rankings in 2022 against those from 2020.
The key difference between the Whatuni Student Choice Awards and other university rankings tables is that it's solely driven by student opinion.
There is no cost for universities to enter and there is no judging panel.
Students give their university an overall rating of one to five; we average those results to create overall ratings for each university across ten categories of student experiences.
Existing students write reviews of their university experiences to help future students find the right uni, and to help the universities continually improve.
